Job Title: Industrial Manufacturing EngineerJob ID: 18377Job Location: Orange VAJob Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday offJob Description:Under minimal oversight, the Industrial Manufacturing Engineer determines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, and practices. The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer develops manufacturing and operations plans based on aforementioned skills and thorough investigation of processes working with subject matter experts, multi-discipline teams, and operations personnel.Essential Functions:40% - Evaluate manufacturing areas and implement continuous improvement methods to ensure proper tools are used and presented to production team members in order to reduce manufacturing times and eliminate waste20% - Conduct facility, equipment, and manpower time and capacity studies; and accurately report through written and oral communications20% - Assist in proposal preparation for new business opportunities using manufacturing plans and actual results from similar activities10% - Participate and facilitate team projects to resolve plant issues and implement cost reduction initiatives10% - Support various plant continuous improvement programsProject managementProposal generationWork/performance measurement systems and studies (manufacturing standard work, time studies, and statistical techniques)Performance measurement systemsMaterial handling, inventory control, and production planningApplication of LEAN and Six Sigma tools and methods to provide business insightsTechnical acumen of manufacturing and support processes, and work environmentsUnderstanding of MRP systems, shop order routings, and resource attributes (including performance, efficiency, and yield factors)Strong skills in Current/Future Building & Assembly Layouts using CAD (preferably Auto-Cad)Travel: 15%Ability to obtain a US Security ClearanceQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior industrial engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior industrial engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior industrial engineering experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Degree in Industrial Engineering desiredAutocad experience for building and assembly layouts#LI-HW1
