Job Title: Sr. Staff Accountant needed in Philadelphia PA!

Job Description

This person will be the right-hand support to the Executive Director (CFO) with all accounting and finance functions for the firm. Responsibilities include scanning files and credit card data entryinto Adarent, uploading GL data on payrolls, entering standard journal entries, handling bank reconciliations in Excel, and assisting with major bank reconciliations in Adarent. Additional duties involve developing payroll data, timecards, PT hours, payroll tax preparation, invoice downloads with FedEx & UPS, entering ACH information, processing monthly rent check requests, working up MCS invoices for review, general coding of invoices and entry, preparing financial statements, assisting in year-end audits, helping with collections, completing worksheets, maintaining the fixed asset ledger and depreciation, generating monthly AR aging reports for billing partners, monthly client allocations, and handling ad hoc requests as needed.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelors Degree

+ 5+ years in an accounting role with Business/Professional Services Industry experience

+ 5+ years of experience handling invoicing, GL accounting, payroll data entry, bank reconciliations, collections, assisting with audit, maintaining fixed asset ledger & depreciation, AR monthly aging reports, and prepping financial statements

+ Proficient in Excel (ability to navigate spreadsheets, format data, pivot tables, Vlookups, and basic formulas)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Will report to Controller and Executive Director. Onsite 5 days a week.
