This position supports a Federalprogram.Our client is seeking a Senior Windows Systems/Server Administrator tohelp maintain an enterprise level product suite by supporting their FMTScontract in Alexandria, VA. This position requires the employee toreport full-time, onsite.HOW A SENIOR WINDOW SYSTEMS/SERVER ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Monitor system performance on an ERP (PeopleSoft HCM) application toensure that all systems are running optimally on multiple servers andenvironments. Use performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecksand areas for improvement.- Responsible for identifying and resolving system issues, softwarebugs, and network connectivity problems.- Create and manage user accounts and access permissions for varioussystems and applications.- Ensure that all systems are secure by implementing securitypolicies, monitoring for potential security breaches, and respondingto security incidents.- Manage the configuration and operation of on-premises andcloud-based including provisioning and configuring cloud services,monitoring performance, and ensuring security.- Research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources toensure that systems architecture components work togetherseamlessly.- Document all system configurations, procedures, and policies toensure that the application is maintained and managed effectively.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define businessrequirements and objectives for ERP projects.- Understanding of custom reports using system software.- Perform system back up, disaster recovery and ensure systemuptime/availability.- Provide training to end-users on ERP system functionality, bestpractices, and new features.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:Security Clearance:- Possess a current DoD SECRET clearance- Maintains T5 Security Background Investigation, in order to obtainIT Level I access.Certifications:- CompTIA Security+ CE- CompTIA Server+Education: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: 10+ years of Windows System Administration experienceTechnical Skills:- Demonstrated Systems Administration experience with Windows ServerAdministration- Maintain Windows servers, per DoD compliance, to include: CyberHardening, Cyber Compliance, Patch Management, ConfigurationManagement, and Release Management- Cloud experienceSkills & Abilities:- General knowledge of ERP applications and how they work forfunctional areas.- Ability to speak both business process and technical process basedon the audience that you are addressing, supporting, or workingwith.- Demonstrated ability to work with Program Manager and team membersto discover, document, design and implement business processes in anERP application platform.- Basic Project Management skills that demonstrate your ability tobuild, manage and execute upon a plan – both in terms ofself-management as well as working with a team.- Mainly sedentary; in an office environment- May be required to lift to ten (10) pounds.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED - DESIRED:Technical Skills:- PeopleSoft experience- WebLogic experience- VMware experienceSkills & Abilities:- Ability to convey technical information to non-technicalindividuals.- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internaland external organizations.Location: Alexandria, VA. Willing to travel occasionally as needed (upto 10%).Work Schedule: 9am-5pm EST.
