Work Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M., 8 hours per day; hours and schedule may vary. Arrive at 7:00 A.M., break 9:00 A.M. - 9:15 A.M., lunch 11:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., break 1:30 P.M. - 1:45 P.M., leave at 3:30 P.M.

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a variety of attending duties at athletic facilities. Maintains athletic facilities and equipment. Provides equipment to participants of sporting events and/or recreational activities conducted at school district athletic facilities.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
* Provide information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations.
* Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures, or arrange for the removal of unruly patrons.
* Keep informed of shutdown and emergency evacuation procedures.
* Clean sporting equipment, vehicles, booths, stadiums, facilities, or grounds.
* Operate machines to clean, smooth, and prepare the field surfaces for activities.
* Inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks such as oiling parts.
* Maintain inventories of equipment, storing and retrieving items and assembling and disassembling equipment as necessary.
* Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment/chemicals, chainsaws, electric clippers, and pruning saws.
* Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.
* Shovel snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots, and spread salt in those areas.
* Trim and edge around flower beds, walks, and walls.
* Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
* Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
* Gather and remove litter.
* Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures such as buildings, fences, and benches, using hand and power tools.
* Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
* Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features.
* Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
* Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring.
* Care for natural turf fields, ensuring proper soil composition for drainage and grass support.
* Use irrigation methods to adjust water consumption and prevent waste.
* Care for artificial turf fields by vacuuming and disinfecting the turf to prevent bacteria growth.
* Mark design boundaries and paint natural and artificial turf fields as needed.
* Accept and complete job/work orders as assigned.
* Document completion of work orders.
* Work to implement the Desegregation Plan of the District.
* Adhere to the policies of the North Little Rock School District.
* Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director, Director, and/or Supervisor of Plant Services.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
