Staff accountant - Randstad : Job Details

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring that the financial operations of the organization are conducted accurately and in a timely manner. This role involves performing general accounting duties, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers, and account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will support the monthly closing process, assist with audits, and work on special projects as needed. salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actuals and budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Support the external and internal audit process by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements initiatives.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
