Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst (Staff Accountant) with a strong background in federal contracting, proficient in Deltek Costpoint and experienced in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. This full-time, exempt position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will conduct financial analysis, ensure compliance with federal regulations, manage financial reporting, and support audits and financial reviews. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Utilize Deltek Costpoint for financial planning, reporting, and project accounting. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Federal Contracting: Ensure compliance with federal contracting regulations and requirements. Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with federal standards and guidelines.May assist in the development and maintenance of indirect cost rates and budgets. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and government clients. Develop financial models to support strategic planning and business development efforts.
Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with project managers, contract administrators, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support. Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial audiences. Assist in training and mentoring junior financial analysts and staff.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on federal contracting.Proficiency in using Deltek Costpoint for financial management and reporting.
Strong background in managing AP/AR processes.
Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:CPA or other relevant certifications.
