As a Staff Accountant you will: Assist in preparation of general journal entries and accruals, reconciliation of expense, and balance sheet accounts Collaborate with Navvis leaders and finance team to ensure accurate project and departmental financial reporting and variance analysis Assist with preparation and filing of tax returns for federal, state, and local governmental agencies Manage fixed asset amortization schedules and ongoing schedule setup. Balance the fixed asset ledger to the general ledger Provide backup support for key areas of the office including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Develop and memorialize procedures for assigned roles and tasks completed Assist team members in accurate analysis of client engagements to add value to the relationship Ad hoc analysis and reporting Recommend improvements to streamline finance activities with a goal of improving the overall efficiency of the office A Day in the Life: Ensure transactions are coded to the appropriate accounts, projects and cost centers in the general ledger Collaborate with team members to understand key customer and vendor agreements Perform reconciliations as assigned Work with Accounting Operations Lead to assure accurate billing of employee travel expenses when applicable Determine cause for expense variances Follow our companys established accounting processes Provide backup support to other finance team members when necessary What Success Looks Like in this Role: Strong organization and ability to multi-task Adaptability to change High degree of professionalism and discretion Requirements We are excited about you if you have these things: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases Excellent organizational, problem-solving and project management skills Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational and analytical skills Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships Experience with Sage Intacct and Workday Adaptive a plus Experience in healthcare industry is a plus This is a hybrid role that will spend at least 1 day per week on-site at our St. Louis office What you'll get: Navvis is committed to attracting the most insightful and motivated talent by providing a candidate and onboarding experience that you won't find elsewhere!
