Staff Accountant-Click here to apply onlineCFS has partnered with a local food distribution company looking to add aStaff Accountantto their busy Accounting team!Why should you join this company?Originally established over 100 years ago!With consistent quality and customer service, the company was able to thrive and eventually became one of the most sought-after distributors for grocery stores and bodegasWith 500 employees, the company puts an emphasis on employee engagement and mentorshipGreat leadership team!Strong benefits with opportunity for advancementTheStaff Accountantis responsible for supporting the Controller and accounting staff of one of their main Distribution Centers.Responsibilities:Accurate preparation of various monthly journal entries, and posting journal entries to the general ledger;Timely reconciliation of assigned bank institution accounts, and other month end general ledger account reconciliations;Daily recording of cash and other receivables, preparation of billing, and other ad hoc projects as directed;Investigation and correction of errors or inconsistencies in financial entries;Participation with duties related to the company's annual financial audit, the company's monthly internal audits, and involvement in the company's physical inventories.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or 2 years related experience in accountingDetailed-oriented, highly organized individual with a great attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.Familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise One is a plusConsumer Goods/Beverage environment/industry or similar preferred but not requiredExcellent oral and written communications skills.Ability to work effectively with associates at varying levels across the Company.Ability to work independently and with a team with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.#INFEB2025
