We also offer energy efficiency solutions for both, public and private clients.Job Description:The Staff Accountant for Ferrovial Energy US reports to the Finance Manager Manager and the Head of Finance, Operations of the Energy Division and supports the accounting department by performing various administrative and clerical tasks to maintain accurate financial records and ensure smooth financial operations.This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor and customer accounts, and ensure timely payment and collection. Generate invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and other accounts. Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring they are accurately recorded and within budget.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and organize financial documents, including receipts, invoices, and ledgers.
  • Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries.
  • Budget Assistance: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and track actual performance against budgeted figures.
  • Support Audits: Gather documentation and support internal and external audits.
  • Communication: Liaise with vendors, customers, and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
  • General Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
