The Department of Student Affairs and Office of Admissions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Staff Associate. The successful candidate will:
* Screen applications for the College of Medicine electronically using an admissions application system and work with the appropriate staff for all interfaces (e.g. banner, amp's application and interview modules).
* Assist with the review of medical school applications and determining if applicant should be interviewed, writing interview questions for the interviewer.
* Work with SUNY Downstate ECT and others for additional interfaces with the AMCAS system (e.g. banner, interview modules, web checklists, etc.).
* Write interview questions for interviewer and record screener note on each applicant.
Required Qualifications:
* 15 years of work experience with medical school admissions including experience with AMCAS, WebAdmit/AMP software systems.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong ability to work with a sophisticated computer system.
* Strong ability to make decisions and resolve problems on a daily basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree or equivalent preferred.
