Applynow for the position of Staff Clinical Data Engineer, and you will havea significant impact in shaping our diagnostics portfolio by developinginnovating data pipelines that transform clinical data, through data analysisand visualization, into insights our customers need to effectively makeclinical decisions.This rolewill report to the Senior Director of Clinical Data Management, Analytics, andData Engineering.Your role:You will be responsible for developingand maintaining systems and pipelines that bridge clinical data management andbiostatistics processes.You willleverage your talents in programming, data analytics, and data engineering toextract, load, and transform data and make it ready for further analysis. Youwill develop applications to automate routine data management and analysistasks.You willsupport development and validation of analytics applications to improve qualityand predictability of clinical trials.You will beresponsible for developing and validating applications and pipelines that areconsistent with best practices and regulatory requirements. You willmaintain, develop, and improve clinical data management and biostatisticalprocess and standard operating procedures. You will be responsible fordocumentation of data engineering processes and pipelines.You willsupport current and legacy database systems in collaboration with clinical datamanagers and database developers.Your expertise:Master's degree in Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, Electrical Engineering, or Data Analytics Engineering ispreferred. Exceptional candidates with master's degrees in other STEM fieldswill be considered.A minimum of 5-8 years in a dataengineering capacity, preferably within the biosciences industry. Candidatesare required to have experience developing and maintaining data pipelines &ETL/ELT processes using code-based programming.Strong programming experience withinPython, R, and SQL is required. Candidates with additional experience in Scalaand Java will also be considered. Experience with a dashboard language such asPowerBI, Qlik, or Tableau is a plus.Experience with modern databaseplatforms, such as SnowFlake and DataLake, is preferred. Candidate should alsohave knowledge and experience with data transformation tools such as Databricksand Azure Data Factory.
