Staff Therapist - Datrose : Job Details

Job Summary:

Our client Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is looking to hire an experienced Mental Health Counselor to work fully in-person in the Counseling And Psychological Services office! This is a contract position (temp-to-perm), lasting the entire Fall semester (mid-September thru mid-December) with opportunity to become permanent. The hours are flexible, ranging between 20 and 40 hours per week, between the office hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. The perfect candidate will be a licensed NYS mental health professional and have at least 3 years of clinical experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Direct Service (65%)

* Provide individual and group therapy services to culturally diverse undergraduate and graduate student population.

* Conduct needs assessments, intake evaluations, treatment follow-up, and appropriate referrals.

* Provide urgent care and crisis intervention.

Administrative (20%)

* Maintain clinical documentation in a thorough and timely manner.

Teamwork and Professional Development (15%)

* Participate in CaPS staff meetings, peer consultation group, IHS Case Collaboration.

* Attend CaPS supervisory meetings.

* In collaboration with supervisor, participate in campus committees, programs, professional development opportunities, and working groups.

Job Requirements:

* Must have a Masters degree in a Mental Health related field.

* Must be a NYS Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT).

* Must have at least 3 years of clinical experience.

* Experience working with students or young adults is a plus.
