About the Role:
Black Fox is seeking an organized and efficient Staffing Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Staffing Associate, you will assist our client's HR staff with various tasks surrounding the screening, processing and recruiting of non-certificated personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison to applicants, employees, administrators, and other schools and offices regarding vacancies, posting, and recruitment processes for non-certificated positions.
- Assist HR Supervisors/Analysts with recruitment schedules, travel preparation and coordination of logistics for each event to include booking and confirming reservations, communication with others attending, gathering of materials, etc.
- Gather and assemble information used to prepare vacancy announcements for non-certificated vacancies.
- Screen applicant pools to determine that established criteria and minimum requirements are met, schedule candidates for interview, and assist HR Supervisors/Analysts with other aspects of the employment process.
- Facilitate the process on interview days, either on-site or off-site locations, to ensure efficiency for both the candidates and interviewers.
- Ensure that candidate pools are maintained, updating information to ensure department heads and hiring managers receive accurate information in a timely manner.
- Assist HR Supervisors/Analysts with follow-up, communication, and facilitation of activities with regard to priority transfers, and the declaration of intent process.
- Assist with the coordination of various recruitment and staffing initiatives and programs to ensure responsive communication with candidates, and rapport with partnering institutions, job development centers, etc.
- Receive, investigate, and resolve HR information, Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, and other related system issues and concerns.
- Coordinate the orderly flow of work within the office and initiate collaboration among team members to develop and improve processes related to administrative duties and assignments.
- Assist in developing materials for meetings, presentations, or training in support of the Office of Staffing
- Provide back-up support to the administrative secretary and other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited college with an associates degree
- Five years of progressively responsible administrative level experience
- Experience utilizing strong human relations skills in the performance of administrative and complex clerical duties
- Experience working with human resources processes and staffing related matters (preferred)
- Coursework, training, and experiences with HR related laws, regulations, and compliance (preferred)
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of human resources practices, related laws and regulations, BCPS policies and procedures and master agreement provisions
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures, and personal computers.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Skill in setting up and maintaining electronic databases and paper filing systems
- Skill in gathering and compiling information for reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be client focused and detail oriented
- Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a self-starter who can work independently on many diversified tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a very fluid environment with guidelines but significant variation
Location: This position will be on-site five (5) days a week in Towson, MD.
