Job Announcement— Statewide Support Services Coordinator
The New York Association on Independent Living (NYAIL) is seeking a Statewide Support Services Coordinator to assist in the development and delivery of Individualized Service Plans and Support Services through the Olmstead Housing Program (OHS) and Rapid Transition Housing Program (RTHP). The housing programs are designed to provide rental subsidies and supportive housing services to high-cost, high-need Medicaid members in New York State. The housing programs are funded by the NYS Department of Health. NYAIL administers the grant statewide and subcontracts with its member Independent Living Centers (ILCs) across the state to staff Independent Living Specialists.
NYAIL is a state-wide, non-profit organization, working with Independent Living Centers across the State to eliminate physical, communications, attitudinal, and other barriers for people with disabilities. NYAIL members are Independent Living Centers (ILCs), consumer controlled, cross-disability providers of advocacy, services and supports to people with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
The Support Services Coordinator (SSC) will work in collaboration with the second Support Services Coordinator (SSC) and will report to the Director of Housing Programs to facilitate the successful transition of individuals into community settings across all areas of the State. The SSC will be responsible for coordinating activities of the Independent Living Specialists (ILS) at subcontracting Independent Living Centers (ILCs) in the identified service areas. Salary and Benefits:
NYAIL offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package. The salary estimate for this position is in the $58,000- $62,000 range.
Location and Travel: This is an Albany-based position with remote work available. Regional and statewide travel required.
This is a grant funded position through October 31, 2029, with possibility for extension contingent on additional state funding.
