Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Leads Team by example
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities
- Oversee guest services and resolve issues
- Train and manage restaurant personnel to ensure a high-quality of service
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
- Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing financing, and preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets
- Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community relations programs
- Controls purchases and inventory, reviewing and evaluating consumption reports
- Maintains operations by implementing policies and procedures to ensure production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards
- Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings
- Builds a strong Team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and setting job expectations, while planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years as a General Manager in a fine-dining restaurant
- 3-5 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to understand and positively impact P&L statements, cost of sales, food costs, inventory control, and safety performance
- Capable of effectively managing both front and back-of-house operations
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Food Manager Certification and Liquor License required, or completion of this certificate within the first six months of employment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High school diploma required. A college degree is not required, but equal work experience equality.
