Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceThis Metro Denver Regional position requires coverage of Sterile Processing Departments at Highlands Ranch Hospital, Broomfield Hospital, Longs Peak Hospital and/or Anschutz Medical Campus.
Summary:Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of Sterile Processing Technicians.
Responsibilities:- Collaborates with department leaders and staff to assess learning needs and competencies of Sterile Processing staff.
- Develops, coordinates and implements competencies for new hire orientation.
- Assesses and documents the progress of new hires throughout orientation. Provides remediation if necessary.
- Develops, coordinates and implements required competencies, resources and continuing education for Sterile Processing staff.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Central Services Technician
- Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician
- High School diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) through CBSPD within 1 year. Preferred: CRCST at hire for those with direct sterile processing experience.
- 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room.
