Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. *Responsibilities** Assists manager with oversight of daily operations of the Central Sterile Department.* Assists manager with oversight for all reprocessing activities of instrumentation, supplies and equipment used for patient care.* Ensures staff follows established procedures regarding receipt, collection and transportation of all contaminated instruments and supplies.* Ensures operation and cleanliness of all department equipment.* Other duties may be assigned. *Qualifications*Job Requirements:* High School graduate or equivalent* Requires extensive knowledge of practices regarding Decontamination, Sterilization, and Instrument Storage.* Requires knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology, infection control practices and standards, as well as anatomy.* Requires knowledge of State and Federal regulations and Professional Recommended Practices.Preferred Job Requirements: * National Certification strongly preferred[]( []( []( [](With 30 hospitals and hundreds of clinics, Ardent Health Services is a premier provider of health care services, delivered with compassion for patients and their families and with respect for employees, physicians and other health professionals.
