Northern Michigan Surgical Suites has an immediate needs for a per diem Sterile Processing Tech! Northern Michigan Surgical Suites is a beautiful, state-of-the-art, multi-specialty center outpatient surgical center. It is designed to give patients, friends and family a relaxing experience before, during and after the procedure. Northern Michigan Surgical Suites also provides a high ratio of medical staff to patients in order to provide the highest quality experience and attentive care.

Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Required Skills:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
  • 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
