A sterile processing technician (a.k.a. a superhero).As a sterile processing technician, your duties include:* Maintains a clean and orderly central processing work area (e.g. shelves, counters, equipment)* Adheres to the sterilization process policies and procedures* Cleans each item according to manufacturer's instruction* Inspects instruments for damage and defects; lubricates items as required* Determines that each item is in good working condition* Sorts and arranges items into proper packs* Wraps packs and individual items according to policy and procedure* Accurately labels each item with name and expiration date* Correctly operates sterilizers, ultrasonic washer and other equipment for processing items* Positions items correctly in sterilizer and selects proper cycles* Checks indicators for proper functioning* Performs required biological/chemical monitoring tests on all sterilizers and maintains logs* Maintains availability of supplies for continuity of recording throughout sterilization process* Cleans sterilizers according to established policies and procedures* Maintains inventory levels and accurate records; Places items in correct locations* Checks for outdated items and package integrity of wrapped sterilized items; replaces items as necessary* Maintains and updates the instrument inventory listBenefit Conditions:* Waiting period may applyWork Location:* One locationWork Remotely* NoJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* SurgerySchedule:* 10 hour shift* 8 hour shiftEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)License/Certification:* sterile processing certification (Preferred)Work Location: In person
