Sterile Supply Technician - Stony Brook University : Job Details

At the Long Island State Veterans Home, our Sterile Supply Technicians are the primary lead persons in medical supply inventory management, utilizing an electronic inventory system. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION. Duties of a Sterile Supply Technician may include the following but are not limited to: Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of all pars in the morning, which also includes back-filling all carts by noon. Email requests to be filled and delivered in the afternoon including, but not limited to, picking up medical requisitions, delivery to nursing units, organizing and maintaining automatic exchange cart parring system (carts and supply rooms should be maintained on a weekly basis). The primary medical supply storeroom should be maintained by organizing, restocking shelf locations and performing physical inventories. According to LISVH policy and procedure manual, primary medical storeroom is to be kept in a neat, clean condition.
