Sterile Tech - First Connect : Job Details

Unit NotesDepartment: Sterile Processing*Certifications Required: BLS*- Common Cases: We are a mix of mainly outpatient procedures including ortho (including total joints and sports med), general, obgyn, robotic, plastics, ENT, Urology, hands, podiatry, breast reconstructions- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prefer staff with experience at high volume ortho facilities- Is there a Manager/Lead Tech on each shift?: No- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Various shifts from 0600-2330 // Supervisor will make schedule- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 6-7 shifts per month- Weekend/Call Requirements: 1 weekend every 4-5 weeks- may change with staffing needs- Holiday/Call Requirements: Depending on needs at least 1 holiday call per year- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-3 days- Additional Notes: Attributes that make staff most successful in this department include hard worker, fast and efficient, attention to details, willingness to be a great team player, great interpersonal skills, willingness to take call (even on short notice) Willingness to change shifts to accommodate changing volumes.Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
