JOB SUMMARYThe manufacturing Supervisor role is responsible for translating our organization's objectives into the tasks the team needs to accomplish. This position provides direction to the production team to accomplish daily manufacturing goals with an emphasis on quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train, mentor, and guide plant personnel to success while maintaining morale and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring an adequate level of performance, discipline, integrity, and productivity of employees.
- Schedule and ensure an adequate level of trained employees on the plant floor.
- Learn and maintain thorough knowledge of all manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Create work assignments, schedule overtime and other administrative duties including approval of timesheets.
- Manage operator's performance, ensure that goals are met. Create plans to reach goals and help operators improve in performance. ?
- Responsible for dispensing, controlling, and managing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) monitored materials.
- Report and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays to maintain alignment with budget expectations.
- Perform production reporting on productivity, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Work with Management to develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance within company, federal, state safety and occupational regulations.
- Assign and track raw products and components during production runs.
- Ability to meet goals identify issues and pivot to get back on track.
- Conduct reviews, corrective actions, interviews and fill in on occasional separations.
- Work with Production Manager to resolve worker issues or submit unsettled issues to Human resources for action.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by your manager.??
- Regularly leads and directs the work of other employees.
- Makes recommendations for personnel decisions related to hiring, promotion, and separations carrying significant weight.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of a specific team within the department.
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in handling team tasks and challenges.
- Primarily engaged as a supervisor, the worker actively contributes to the management of the enterprise by assisting in employee training, assigning job duties, and participating in determining changes in employee status, while also adhering to established management policies, addressing disciplinary matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week. Flexible availability to work both day and night shifts plus some weekends.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.?

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 - 5 years supervisory/leadership experience with 2 years production experience.?
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Prior production, assembly and/or cannabis experience is required.?
- Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week. Flexible availability to work both day and night shifts.
- May perform activities that include periods of rigorous, repetitive work.?
