General Description

At The NBA Store, our Retail Sales Team are the playmakers and energy of The NBA Store brand. These basketball fanatics are dedicated to fuelling the passion for the NBA and fashion merchandise by meeting the needs of our loyal customers and casual shoppers alike. Our customers rely on our team to help them find and select products that represent their individualism, team pride and personal style. Working in our retail stores requires our Retail Sales Team to provide the energy to an exceptional experience to each and every customer, maintain our meticulous product presentations and be a subject matter expert on our products and services.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and verify incoming product; enter into computer system

Load and unload shipments

Stock product

Ensure that products are priced correctly

Accurate pulling/packing orders for shipping

Assist in counting of physical inventory

Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness

Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all associates

May sweep, dust or mop the warehouse area

Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Count, verify and receive inventory into computer system

Sort and place product in proper rack locations

Inventory maintenance including cycle counting

Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required

Maintain a clean, efficient and safe work environment

Support and adhere to the Loss Prevention program

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned, such as assisting on the sales floor

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many stockroom items are cumbersome and heavy

Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment while maintaining attention to detail

Ability to maintain a high level of physical exertion for extended periods and working primarily while standing

Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs

Typing and record keeping skills essential to maintaining accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding stockroom inventory

Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance

Personal accountability and integrity are essential, as a stock clerk has access to valuable inventory

Experience working safely with stockroom ladders and tools is preferred

Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized stockroom
