JOB OVERVIEW:
The Stock Clerk - Maintenance Warehouse works under the supervision of the Facilities Manager in order to maintain District inventory and distribution of tools, supplies, and equipment at the Maintenance Warehouse Stockroom.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records
* Basic computer skills to maintain inventory records; ability to use a computer for word processing, data management, and communications; proficient typing skills
* Experience with SchoolDude Inventory and Maintenance software preferred
* Valid New Jersey Driver's License
* State license to drive a forklift; two (2) years experience with forklift preferred
* Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Receive and process requests in SchoolDude, for items including tools, supplies, cleaning products, equipment, sanitary products, copy paper, and any general supplies or resources ordered by Maintenance, Custodial and Central Office teams
* Respond to work orders and requests for tools, supplies and equipment in SchoolDude
* Maintain a master inventory record of tools, supplies and equipment at Warehouse
* Assist in the delivery of tools, supplies and equipment from/to the Warehouses and to/from the various District sites; load and unload tools and equipment using a forklift on a daily basis
* Maintain a record of distribution, condition, use, and return of tools, supplies and equipment
* Receive and communicate damage to tools, supplies and equipment in a timely manner to supervisor(s)
* Record the date and category of new tools, supplies and equipment received
* Ensure a safe, orderly, and efficient Warehouse at all times
* Enter updated information into SchoolDude system daily
* Prepare weekly or monthly reports on the status of tools, supplies and equipment inventory and the completion of associated work orders
* Monitor tool and equipment distribution to ensure timely return to the Warehouse in working condition
* Report on tool, supply and equipment inventories and recommend replenishment as needed
* Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
* Be available when called upon by the Supervisor or Central Administrators after the regular work day
* Will be required to support projects and initiatives in other departments throughout CCSD on an as-needed basis
* Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Supervisor's designee

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Frequently moves items weighing up to 50 pounds to pack, load, and deliver orders; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
* Frequently lifts items weighing up to 50 pounds, including raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
* Frequently bends and twists holding items weighing up to 50 pounds
* Climbing/balancing - maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
* Stooping - bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
* Crouching - bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine
* Reaching - extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
* Subject to atmospheric conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
* Subject to extreme temperatures (temperatures below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour, which may be exacerbated by wind and/or humidity)
