Position Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and organized Stockroom Associate to join our team. The Stockroom Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring that the stockroom is organized and efficient. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Packs loose parts boxes per pick ticket and stages for Shipping.
  • Fulfill production material requisitions, as required.
  • Assists in planning and maintains the layout of stockroom and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors, of items stored.
  • Assists with cycle counts and investigation.
  • Adheres to established loose parts packaging procedures.
  • Oral/written Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
  • Stocking incoming material in the correct stockroom location. Assure parts are clearly identified with part numbers.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace.
  • Participates in problem solving and improvement projects.
  • Assist in shipping area when it is deemed necessary by the supervisor

Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Technical Skills Forklift certification, special planning skills in packaging, reading a tape measure. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to use air and hand tools while following basic assembly processes.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computers. Usage of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word programs. Learn the ability to perform TCM Manufacturing software (Training will be provided).

Other Skills and Abilities Ability to perform in all aspects of stockroom, picker and material handling positions as detailed in other source documents. Excellent organizational skills are a must.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
