Storage Administrator - TEKsystems : Job Details

Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Storage Engineer to join our team. This person will be responsible for the enterprise storage infrastructure for all the operating system platforms. They will do NAS, Tier 1, Tier 2 support and recovery structure.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, administrating, managing, maintaining, and tracking the software and hardware associated with the SCS Enterprise Storage environment.

• Tier 1 & Tier 2 support within PowerMax, Isilon, and VMAX

• Follow standard processes for capacity allocation, hardware, software and project completion, problem resolution and change management.

• Diagnose and resolve problems to meet service level expectations within our storage environment

• Recovery of data due to disaster, hardware failure, or cyber event.

• Communicate progress, problems and best practices to management, peers, and teammates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience is desired.
• Administration of Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.
• Administration of Network Attached Storage (NAS) environments.
• Capacity planning for storage and backup.
• Reporting of Storage performance, availability, and integrity.
