Summary
City Market Co-Op is seeking a Store Assistant to actively support all departments to guarantee the smooth operations of the store. This includes bagging groceries, stocking/receiving products, custodial support, and running errands as needed. The ideal candidate has strong communication and customer service skills, ideally with prior experience in customer service or retail and/or a drive to learn!

Day-to-Day Duties
* Keeping the store and equipment in working order, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking shelves, rotating stock, and labeling items.
* Assisting customers with product questions and locating products in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner and referring them to other staff as necessary.
* Bagging groceries and collecting carts and baskets as needed to keep the Front End traffic to a minimum.
* Monitoring parking lot and maintaining traffic control as needed.
* Assisting in food production and grocery delivery as needed.
* Running errands as needed and assisting other departments as needed.
* Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.
* May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* One year of retail experience OR 18 months of customer service experience required.
* High School diploma or GED and valid driver's license required.
* Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
