Its mission isto preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination.Job Objective: As the store assistant, you help will provide effective and efficient daily operation of the store, ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively done.What You Will Do:
  • Assist people with questions, donations, and general information
  • Price bric-a-brac and placing on shelves
  • Place newer and higher priced items on a special table to look up and price.
  • Hang clothing when needed
  • Sort and separate holiday item's
  • Help check drop box daily- empty when necessary
  • End of shift- Clear sorting tables, sweep floor, clean up your area
  • Assist with day-to-day store needs
  • Other tasks as needed by leadership
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of theminimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.Experience: 2 years retail experience preferred Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army's Drivers' qualification standard; must complete Safe from Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.Skills/Abilities:
  • Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems

  • Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity
