PURPOSE: Represent and promote the store operations in an up-beat manner, which insures customer satisfaction and maximum efficiency for the store. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Immediately greet every customer upon arrival in the store.
- Assist customers in their needs and demonstrate concern.
- Make sales transactions quickly and accurately.
- Develop the ability of Suggestive Selling .
- Maintain stock on shelves and coolers.
- Complete shift reports in accordance with company guidelines
- Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Develop the ability to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash register, computers and other equipment.
- Adhere to all the city, county and state liquor, tobacco and health regulations.
- Assist the store manager in seeing that the store maintains a store inspection grade of at least 85%.
- Willingness to attend company functions and meetings.
- Maintain parking lot, empty trash and keep overall grounds free of litter.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a cooler at a temperature of 32 degrees, up to 30 minutes at a time.
- Ability to work in an inside and outside environment, in all kinds of weather.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the job.
- Be able to sweep, mop and vacuum floor. Dust shelves, and lift and carry out trash and place in dumpster.
