ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Processing freightAssisting with taking price changes/markdownsBalancing his/her register according to company policyCalling out prices for customers when ringing register transactionsBags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transactionHandling all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and by company policyObtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checksHandling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assignedProviding proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers for shopping at the store, and inviting them to returnFollowing all safety proceduresMaintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tagAssisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levelsAssisting management with any tasks requested per company policyExplaining our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactionsResponsible for assisting the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all current operational policiesJob Requirements:
