**Job Description Summary**

The primary role of this position is support of supervision in managing and directing storeroom operations. Individuals must demonstrate effective and positive leadership skills. This position is responsible for the receipt, physical control and disbursement of all storeroom inventory materials and maintaining the inventory control system to ensure the optimum quantity of materials are available to support plant operations. Direct daily operating activities for receiving and storeroom personnel, consistent with established receiving and inventory control systems and procedures.**Job Description**

* Maintains and promotes safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs and assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups.

* Reads, writes, and communicates efficiently with management and plant personnel through use of emails, shift reports, logs, prints, sketches, operating instructions and technical manuals

* Must consistently provide excellent customer service to all employees and vendors

* Directs and monitors physical inventory count of the storeroom including double-checking discrepancies

* Conducts and maintains plant stockroom inventory counts, records, inventory labels, and stock locations

* Train and direct all storeroom personal in proper store room operations

* Check out tools and plant keys. Follow up to ensure they are returned and inspected.

* Receipt, disbursement, and physical control of inventory items and deliveries and maintain records according to the records retention policy

* Help control storeroom access to authorized individuals only

* Must have and maintain company issued driving privileges for parts runs and plant to plant transfers

* Communicate and work with vendors to maintain inventory at necessary levels

* Identifies and reports surplus and obsolete inventoried material to be reviewed

* Works with the Procurement Specialist to review stock part issues including returns, incorrect deliveries, and damages as necessary.

* Evaluates safety stock levels on inventory requisitions for potential reduction of R&M

* Works closely with the maintenance planners to manage the repairable parts and kitting processes

* Assists at window, shipping and receiving as necessary

* Monitors and responsible for housekeeping to ensure safe and clean conditions in all areas of responsibility

* Must be knowledgeable of plant machinery

* Coordinates with plant personnel and suppliers on part related emergencys

* Must be able to work any or all days of the week and overtime in accordance with plant needs

* Working knowledge of purchasing process regarding Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders

* Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

**Basic & Preferred Qualifications**

* Ability to perform and direct all job functions of the storeroom receiver and storeroom personal

* Ability to multi-task

* Required to perform job functions independently with minimal supervision

* Must be able to complete forms in an accurate and legible manner

* Ability to perform and direct basic office procedures such as filing, record keeping, and other materials, tools, and equipment associated with plant operations

* Equipment used in this position: 10-key, computer, telephone, forklift, pencil, pen, and paper

* Working knowledge of SAP

* Must have and maintain drivers license

* Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**

* High school diploma/ general education degree (GED), trade school or some college education preferred.

* Related experience as storeroom attendant, receiver and purchasing, or Lead experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS:**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write accurate information on simple forms in English. Ability to effectively present or listen to information in one?on?one and small group situations with all other employees of the organization in English.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:**

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

**REASONING ABILITY:**

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
