Straightener Operator - Wieland Rolled Products North America : Job Details

Straightener Operator Responsibilities: Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required. Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes. Produces material within prescribed tolerances with focus on the next customer in a timely manner. Performs set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets) getting tools and gages and placing at machine making proper adjustments. Prepares and utilizes the roll straightener machine by loading the tubing into the guide. Makes adjustments to rolls as required when incoming material is varying and adjustments to set up are required during the course of the run to produce acceptable product. Performs the proper adjustments to the Eddy Tester with the proper test samples so material continuity can be checked. Segregates and tags rejected material.
