We are searching for a Strategic Navigation Systems Department Head to join our Navigation Research and Development Division at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. ARL's purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific,engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC). The Strategic Navigation Systems Department focuses on the development and evaluation of high performance navigation systems, sensors, and integration of those sensors into the US Navy's strategic weapons systems.

This position can be filled at multiple levels, depending upon successful candidate's education and experience. Minimally requires a Bachelors' Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline, plus 10 years of related experience. Additional experience and/or education are required for higher
level positions.

Your working location will be fully on-site, located in Warminster, PA, State College, PA, or Uniondale, NY. A hybrid on-site/remote work schedule may be possible.
