Description Salary Range: $201,760 - $282,464 annually Job Description Division: Strategic Planning Job Title: Strategic Planning Director Job Code: Position Summary The primary role of the Strategic Planning Director is to lead and/ or manage strategic planning activities and any associated projects as directed by the Chief of Strategic Management. Major responsibilities include the identification and evaluation of trends in health care, both within and outside the boundaries of the Washington Township Health Care District; assisting with the implementation monitoring of the Washington Hospital Healthcare System strategic plans; assist with the management of key strategic affiliations and alliances; assist with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, new programs and services to keep the Healthcare System viable and competitive, as directed. In addition, under the direction of the Chief of Strategic Management, the Strategic Planning Director will:
- Develop and oversee strategy related market intelligence information provided by external organizations and/or maintained internally (e.g. OSHPD datasets, Populi, etc).
- Assess and utilize available inpatient and outpatient market data to evaluate and monitor market dynamics and market share. Develop and facilitate internal mechanisms to share such information to inform the development of WHHS strategic initiatives and priorities, as well as evaluate the impact of current strategies.
- Formulate plans and develop infrastructure to obtain and regularly assess strategic information on key competitors including service lines and market share to guide the development of WTHCD/System's short and long term strategic objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and share trends and key shifts in patient demographics and patient care preference that may impact health care services and delivery.
- Develop new business and health care services opportunities as directed by the Chief of Strategic Management from initial planning and feasibility analyses, to appropriate approvals within the Healthcare System, to budget preparation, and development of relevant programs to the point of successful launch and operations.
- Lead and/or manage projects and provide analytical support for members of the Senior Leadership and Executive team for strategic initiatives in their respective areas. This may include scenario planning, facilitation of pro forma development in conjunction with FP&A, cost/benefit and lease vs. buy, and guiding expansion or implementation of strategically key services.
