STRATEGIC PLANNING & INVENTORY SPECIALIST - Sonny's Enterprises LLC : Job Details

The Strategic Planning and Inventory Specialist is responsible for optimizing inventory management processes and developing strategic plans to align inventory levels with organizational goals. This role involves conducting thorough analyses of inventory data, forecasting demand, and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless inventory flow and timely availability of products.

• Creates and reviews production plans and monitors performance/health of the scheduled orders at respective locations.
• Maintains a rolling production schedule for each work center in the manufacturing facility.
• Creates and reviews daily and weekly reports to monitor performance/health of production orders.
• Strategically reviews all orders 1-3 months ahead, reviews plan for every part (PFEP), and collaborates with purchasing, sales, and operations to ensure demand can be met.
• Tactically creates, releases, prints, and monitors production orders as needed.
• Manages, reviews, and updates master data; checks that the updates yielded expected results in MRP runs.
• Deep understanding of ERP systems; seen as SME for ERP and eager to teach and actively solve problems collaboratively with counterparts in operations, purchasing, and customer service.
• Develops and documents planning and inventory processes, reviews daily and weekly reports to monitor performance/health of processes.
• Develops standards for the cycle count program, reviews discrepancies, and drives accuracy improvements.
• Utilize advanced CAD techniques such as parametric modeling, surfacing, and simulation to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a relevant field of study.
• 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain or strategic planning role.
• Proven track record in demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and process optimization.
• Experience with inventory management software and data analytics tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, BI tools).
• Familiarity with lean inventory principles and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to present design concepts, solutions, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
