Salary: Competitive + Benefits Our client a Tier 1 leading manufacturer of parts used within the automotive industry are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the organization's procurement objectives - Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services - Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions - Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements - Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through effective materials management and price negotiation - Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing processes - Implement category management strategies to optimize supplier selection and improve overall supply chain efficiency - Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve any issues related to supplier quality or delivery - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through effective supplier management practices Skills: - Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and procurement best practices - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance data - Proficiency in supply chain management principles, including logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting - Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions from suppliers - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
