Union LocalIBEWG 94SummaryThe Street Helper is an entry-level position to help higher rated employees in all types of laboring in connection with installing and maintaining gas. Break pavement, dig, backfill, and tamp trenches or other excavations with hand or pneumatic tools. Load, unload, move and place pipe, fittings, tools and other materials as a team. Assist in shoring, bracing, and bridging excavations. Drive passenger cars and small van type vehicles (6,000 lbs. Gross weight max.) Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesYears of ExperienceJob QualificationsRequired: Minimum 3 months construction, manufacturing, mechanical or related work experience.Must be physically able to perform heavy construction work. Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must possess and maintain a U. S. valid driver's license.Must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A within 12 months of employment in this role Must successfully complete required training after hire.
