Job Title: Structural AssemblerJob DescriptionWe are seeking Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics (Level B, C, or D) to support various production areas across different airplane programs. This role involves working in a manufacturing assembly environment, utilizing training and certification knowledge to complete assigned tasks. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, reading work instructions, and identifying necessary tools, parts, and equipment to ensure defect-free work.Responsibilities
  • Complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain required certifications.
  • Use computers in a production environment.
  • Set up and validate jigs and other tooling setups.
  • Perform close tolerance drilling and installations in critical aircraft structural areas.
  • Use calibrated precision measuring tools.
  • Utilize various fastener removal tools and techniques.
  • Work with CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), aluminum, and titanium structural materials, including drilling, sanding, and trimming.
  • Read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Use software applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows, and SAP.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment as determined by the task.
  • Use various structural assembly hand tools and air tools.
  • Inspect work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • 1+ years of experience with software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes, and procedures.
  • 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals.
  • 3+ years of experience with structural repair operations involving the 787 or other legacy models (727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777).
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, aviation and/or fabrication.
  • Completion of a degree or certification from a trade school and/or A&P license.
