Job Details
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with EIT certification required; NYS PE license preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in building superstructure and foundation design.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enercalc, and other structural software is required; experience with RISA Suite is preferred.
  • Expertise in wood, steel, concrete, and masonry design for multi-family, commercial, civic, and residential projects.
  • Ability to prepare and oversee the development of contract documents, calculations, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of ASCE, ACI, AISI, AISC, and IBC code requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in construction period services required.
  • U.S. citizenship required; applicants may be subject to security background checks based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed measure-ups and assessments of existing project conditions.
  • Develop Revit models based on existing documentation, plans, and surveys.
  • Utilize Revit and other CAD software to produce plans, details, schedules, and related documents.
  • Coordinate effectively with Architectural and MEP teams.
  • Identify and resolve technical and design issues to ensure project progress and quality control.
  • Develop project specifications and supporting documentation.
  • Perform material quantity take-offs and assist in unit pricing for project estimates.
  • Review construction-phase submittals.
  • Conduct periodic on-site inspections during construction to verify compliance with construction documents.
  • Stay current with building codes and design standards.
