Our client is a successful A&E firm, and they are currently searching for an experienced and licensed Structural Engineer to lead the structural engineering department. This is a full-time/direct hire opening. Our client has been around since the late 1940's and has never had a layoff. The average associate tenure is more than 10 years. There are several employees who started their career as a co-op and reached retirement, all with our client.

The current opening is for a Structural Engineering Department Manager. Main duties include:

Manage and lead the structural engineering department

Drive employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training

Lead structural engineering projects across the United States and Canada

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Act as subject matter expert for all structural engineering systems

Qualifications include:

B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering

Past work experience must have an emphasis on Structures

P.E. license required

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Ability to manage and lead a team, oversee and effectively lead the department

Experience working with structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, deep foundations

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
