Job Title: Structural Project Engineer

Location: San Francisco

Job Summary: LVI Associates are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our clients' Structural Engineering practice team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus, and a proven track record of managing projects in mission-critical, life sciences/biotech, healthcare, and aviation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to develop and implement project plans.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus (Master's degree strongly preferred).
  • Approximately 5 - 7 years of experience in engineering, ideally within mission-critical, life sciences/biotech, healthcare, or aviation sectors.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
