My client, a highly respected, employee-owned engineering firm with over 50 years of success is seeking a passionate and versatile Engineer for its NYC office. With over 15 offices nationwide and a reputation for delivering exceptional projects, this firm offers a unique opportunity to lead, grow, and make an impact in a dynamic environment. Although their NYC office is small and nimble, you'll be part of a larger, collaborative network that values expertise, autonomy, and innovation.Role Responsibilities:
  • Work on a variety of engineering challenges, from Local Law 11, local law 126 and new construction projects across New York
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, balancing design, fieldwork, and client collaboration.
  • Work across disciplines including structural engineering, fa--ade systems, curtain walls, waterproofing, and roofing.
  • Spend time in the field, learning and solving real-world challenges.
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure project success through clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
  • Handle necessary administrative tasks related to your projects, with a manageable workload compared to industry standards.
  • Expand your knowledge and expertise by working on cutting-edge projects and embracing new engineering specialities
  • Help shape the NYC office's success by taking ownership of your work and contributing to a collaborative, goal-driven culture.Role Requirements:
    • 7-15 years of hands-on project experience in engineering (licensure is a plus but not required).
    • Are willing to wear multiple hats, working across various engineering disciplines and learning new skills.
    • Are capable of independently managing projects while balancing fieldwork, client interactions, and administrative responsibilities.
    • Have a genuine interest in engineering challenges and thrive in dynamic environments.
    • Are ready to adapt to the demands of the NYC market, taking on diverse projects with enthusiasm.
