If so, you may be the perfect fit for our team.We are looking for an individual with experience installing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise-wide A/V, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), infrastructure and technical solutions.Qualified candidates preferably have completed comprehensive training in the implementation of enterprise A/V, VTC, infrastructure networking, communications, and/or computing equipment and hardware.
Duties and Responsibilities Include: - Serves as a team lead, team member and/or individual contributor to deliver technology solutions which may include Structured network cabling, Fiber Optic installation, and LAN/WAN Network infrastructure among others.
- Duties Include: Pull/Terminate/Test CAT 6A and fiber optic communications cable
- Installation of cable pathway systems
- Test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables
- Dress and route cable into telecom closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets
- Build-out telecom and equipment rooms
- Install Fire-stop sleeves and various types of cable penetrations
- Test, troubleshoot and document test results for cabling
- Provides field reporting updates to Project Manager as necessary
- Capable of leading a team of technicians and accountable for schedule, timelines and budget.
- Requires working knowledge of Telecom Systems, TCP/IP Networks, and proper installation techniques per BICSI/industry standards
- Reads, follows, and delivers all objectives in the contract Statement of Work (SOW), Proposal, and/or Service Order. Accurately assesses customer needs and requirements during site surveys and provides gathered data to engineers.
- Response times, install times, repair times, and overall project and task timelines should meet or exceed company, customer, project, and service order expectations. Communicates all exceptions.
- Provides accurate and prompt time recording. Role requires time reporting in Tigerpaw. Time should be input daily but, in any case, no more than 48 hours following completion of work.
- Meets or exceeds goals for billable hours (as applicable). Provides on-call after-hours support when assigned.
- Executes all approved company processes, policies and procedures in order to deliver solutions meeting industry best practices and client internal standards.
- Travels to customer sites as required. Maintains company-owned tools and technology resources.
- Performs ad hoc duties such as assisting the A/V installation team hanging TVs, projector screens, rack mounting electronic equipment, etc.
- Acts as company liaison on active construction sites. Coordinates installation team duties with general contractors and Strategic Project Manager.
Education and Experience - Diploma required
- 5+ years experience in running projects and managing teams with 2 to 10 individuals preferred
- Proficient in working with general contractors, attending project coordination meetings and meeting project schedules
- Must have the ability to install, terminate and test low voltage cables (CAT 6 and CAT 6A); fiber optic experience highly recommended
- Proficiency in building/constructing MDF/IDFs including rack mounting, mounting ladder tray, installing copper and fiber panels; Must have experience installing structured cabling systems while leaving the current system active until the cutover is complete.
- Must be proficient in grounding and bonding
- Must understand installing and understand cable pathways to include proper installation methods and spacing
- CRM (service/relationship management software) experience preferred
- Must be willing to obtain additional OEM certifications related to Cabling, IT, A/V and/or VTC systems
- Experience working with multiple departments and managing multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of frequent interaction with team members, customers and vendors
- Knowledge of construction documentation and blueprint reading
- OSHA 10 Construction certification preferred - must be willing to obtain within six months of hire
- Ideal candidates should possess BICSI professional certification or at least one OEM (Panduit, Leviton, Siemons) certification
- Driver's license required, safe driving record, reliable vehicle
- ISO 9001: 2015 training - to be completed within ninety days of hire
