Student Advisor - New York University : Job Details

Provide academic advisement to current students in the Graduate Program of Applied Psychology. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/ substitute courses. Plan and implement recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of undergraduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of online graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, program development and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the School, department, and program offerings. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's Degree. Required Experience:Min. 2 years of student advisement, recruitment, admissions, counseling, or related experience. Preferred Experience:Experience in a higher education setting.
