Benefits available.Student Attendance and Lunch Bunch Support SpecialistThis position is made up of two classified positions;Daily Hours (8:00 - 3:30)Includes 30 minutes lunch break and two 15 minute breaks.Totaling 7.5 hours per day.Description:The individual in this position will monitor chronic absences through the attendance process, supervise lunch bunch on a daily basis, meet with students that begin to show attendance concerns, and support the main office under general supervision with close direction of the principal and assistant principal. This position will have additional duties assigned as needed.It is noted this position is directly funded through a grant and is re-evaluated on a yearly basis.Persons in this position are distinguished by a variety of background experiences which allow for interaction with and general supervision of students, having a sense of propriety, confidentiality, and good humor. The individual should have the ability to maintain compliance for rules, the ability to interpret and enforce school policies, and to maintain an appropriate level of discipline. The individual will also be expected to be alert to students and their needs, and to directly seek ways in which to assist students with their work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Organized and well-ordered environment.Maintains all records of attendance in Powerschool.Generate monthly attendance reports using PowerschoolResponsible for managing attendance letters and communicationLiaison for parent communication regarding attendance patterns, codes, etc.Schedule monthly meetings with the attendance committee (admin, SRO, secretary, THRIVE Liaison, Etc.)Supervises students in lunch bunch on a daily basis.Records, manages, and accounts for PIF accounting and recording.May assist teachers in monitoring student progress on specific assignments.Work with the building MTSS team and Assistant Principal to collect, track, and coordinate attendance data for use in decision-making processes.May be called upon to assist with phone calls as assigned.Performs other such duties as are assigned by the Principal(s) or their designee.Treats all matters of school business in a confidential manner.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED plus two years post-secondary education.
