Job Location : Nelsonville,OH, USA
Student Center Staff/Lifeguard - $12.00 & $15.00 per hour
Work all scheduled shifts, with strict attention to being on time. (Weekends and evenings included.)
* Support the overall safety of participants and security of equipment.
* Familiarize participants with the safe and effective use of pool, rock-wall, fitness, aerobic, and free weight equipment.
* Conduct ID or payment checks of all participants that come into the Student Center.
* Maintain equipment and report any safety or maintenance needs to Student Center Operations Coordinator.
* Clean and wipe down all equipment on a regular basis as scheduled with documentation.
* Follow opening and closing procedures at all stations, with documentation.
* Prepare incident and injury reports when appropriate.
* Re-stock all first aid kits, maintain supply inventory, and check out towels.
* Respond to, and follow, all emergency procedures.
* Attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops.
* Maintain a friendly and upbeat environment at all times.
* Maintain a safe environment for all participants.
* Maintain knowledge of all current activities and upcoming events and activities within Student Center.
* Adhere to all Student Center and College policies and procedures.
* Provide quality customer service for all participants.
* All other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
* Must be a current actively enrolled student at Hocking College
* Ability to follow verbal and written directives
* Current Lifeguard Certified
* Working knowledge of facilities and equipment
* Excellent organizational and planning skills
* Awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity
* Open to new ideas and the ability to adapt to changes
* Understanding of positive customer service
