Job Summary

The Engagement Assistant's main roles are to create graphics and flyers for the University Housing and Residence Life and to generate content for the department's Residence Life Instagram account and StarRez application. The Engagement Assistant will be required to advertise events in-hall, online, and through the Campus Website, attend events, take photos, post material on social media, and create articles for the Student Affairs Division or Clayton State University community on behalf of University Housing.

Responsibilities

* Utilize a strong creative and media-savvy skillset to generate content for the Housing Instagram page, including featured posting about programming, initiatives, involvement opportunities, and Housing application season.

* Creates flyers for University Housing and Residence Life signature events.

* Coordinate with Graduate Assistant on tabling events on and around campus and virtual events.

* Follow a marketing/posting schedule to advertise University Housing and Residence Life programs and initiatives within the residence halls, on the University calendar, and Instagram page.

* Research best practices for utilizing social media outlets

* Attend University Housing and Residence Life-related events and take photos or videos to include in posts and potential articles.

* Monitor Instagram account and respond to queries in a timely fashion

* Maintain professionalism and positively represent University Housing on social media and in person.

* Responding to inquiries made at the Laker Hall desk, Housing office, around campus, and on the phone.

* Attend all Admission events related to new and prospective students

* Other duties as assigned.
