Required Related Experience n/a Required License/Registration/Certification n/a Physical Requirements Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders upto 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy. Shift Primarily Days Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends may be required due to experimentation. Job Summary The Department of Physiology seeks a part-time employee expected to work with animal models doing experimental data acquisition and analysis of obesity-associated pathologies. Additional duties would be support other members of the laboratory in biochemical and cell culture experiemnts, lab maintenance, and organization. The candidate might be asked to work outside of normal business hours on certain days for procuring tissues during time-course collections. The position requires the student/non-work study to help maintain the mouse colony. Additionally, it requires tissue culture work. The position requires data collection and analysis from animal and cell-based experiments. Perform histology and analyze and report results from data collected and analyzed.
