The Student Program Coordinator will perform higher level office support duties and provide specialized program support for the ECS Office of Student Success & Career Services. The Student Program Coordinator will perform a wide range of administrative duties including preparing correspondence, reports and presentations, handling information requests, planning events and meetings, providing purchasing and payroll support, fulfilling employment administration requirements, making travel arrangements, and maintaining calendars and schedules.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience
* Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience.
* Five (5) plus years of administrative experience required.
* Experience in higher education preferred but not required.
Skills and Knowledge
* This position requires a detail-oriented person who can manage multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner.
* Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, communications skills (written, oral and in-person), and have extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work with faculty, staff, students and guests to support the goals of the Office of Student Success & Career Services and the College.
Responsibilities
* Support logistics related to programming and initiatives of the Office of Student Success & Career Services including, but not limited to, room reservations, parking, catering and supply orders, and professional correspondence with relevant parties. Examples of programming include Employer/alumni visits, student workshops facilitated by Success and Career Advisors, collaboration with ECS 101 faculty and FYS 101 program requirements.
* Coordinate purchasing of needed supplies for advising team, credit card reconciliation for Department leaders; oversee front desk workers' scheduling and payroll.
* Support logistical needs of key experiential opportunities offered through the Office of Student Success & Career Services. Examples include travel arrangements and organizing application materials related to immersion programming, tracking co-op opportunities and participation.
* Assist with marketing related to Student Success & Career Services programming and initiatives; specifically, the weekly e-newsletter, computer lab screen savers, and social media account.
* Assist Department leaders with collection of data/other information as needed to support Department assessment projects
