The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) is seeking to fill the position of Student Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist.

Under the direction of the Director of Statewide Recruitment and Admissions and in collaboration with the Director of Undergraduate Recruiting and Enrollment, this role will perform the following duties:

Recruitment: Statewide recruiting of prospective undergraduate students to the associate and bachelor degree programs in the college of CFAES, specifically in a recruiting territory to be assigned, planning and coordinating high school visits both on campus and off campus; includes travel to high schools, career centers, and college and career fairs to visit with prospective students, parents, teachers, and school counselors to expand awareness geographically and promote programs; building student engagement among transfer students and prospective high school students, parents, teachers, other stakeholders, and community members; promoting and strengthening ties to external

stakeholders by sharing information about application procedures, while communicating the value of undergraduate associate and bachelor degree programs; academic liaison to faculty.

Special Events: Support all recruiting events hosted by CFAES ; contact prospective undergraduate students, and family members via direct, phone, written and online communication; manage CFAES events for recruitment of

prospective students; manage and provide initial and ongoing correspondence with school counselors review and edit marketing materials to increase visibility of our programs; oversight of the admissions social media program; participate

in various events to support both recruitment and yield including all CFAES Enrollment events ; conducts large and small-group presentations and represents the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at industry

trade shows, career and college fairs, and other events

Strategic Communications: Assist in the facilitation of enrollment efforts for CFAES by use of information system reporting tools to analyze applicant, admit, and matriculant data; assists with communications using multiple modalities

to promote yield including composing correspondence; providing support/fulfillment for mailings and email marketing campaigns and overseeing and executing social media communications; develops and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders

Other: Completes special projects/assignments and other duties as assigned to support the mission of the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Requirements: This position requires travel, largely within the state of Ohio, up to 15 weeks per year. It may also include working evening and weekend hours or overnight stay.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2-4 years of relevant experience required.

Desired Qualifications: Highly motivated, efficient/effective in managing multiple priorities, exceptional attention to detail, and able to work independently; excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills/experience;

ability to communicate with public audiences; high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of student recruitment processes/procedures in higher education; demonstrated use of variety of print and electronic media

including social media; event planning and development of communication materials and website materials including updating website content; experience supervising student employees.
